Community

One of our core values at atticusnow is commitment to the community.

We like to use our professional skills to make a difference. We offer pro bono and low bono skilled volunteering on selected projects within our focus areas. We prefer a shared value approach and we are open to undertaking collaborative thought leadership. We also contribute through a mentoring program as well as membership of NGO Boards and Advisory Committees. We make an effort in our supply chain to be socially responsible. All staff are encouraged to participate in our community program.

We have three priorities areas for our community work, which are ideally overlapping:

First Nations - partners have included the Melbourne Indigenous Transition School, the Indigenous Eye Health Unit of the University of Melbourne, Ganbina, and the Native Grain project.

Place-based initiatives - helping the Gippsland Emergency Relief Fund assess the lessons from the recent bushfires for a more effective place-based response, and also assisting the Heide Museum of Modern Art on their precinct strategy

Systemic change for social impact - including a special interest in prevention and early intervention as well as shared value, our people have worked with NGOs on a range of thought leadership projects for reforms in health, domestic violence, early childhood, and justice. Partners include FightMND and Assembled Threads.

atticusnow worked with Assembled Threads on a project to help CALD communities recover from the effects of COVID-19 on employment with the creation of community based textile manufacturing hubs.
